I got this from the Full Cycle newsletter. It is about a fellow mountain biker that got seriously injured in November. Looks like he could use some support from the cycling community, so I wanted to share this:
"This fall our dear friend & Full Cycle co-worker, Kirk Williams, had an accident during a mountain bike ride that has left him paralyzed. He is currently being treated at Craig Hospital in Denver and has numerous uninsured medical expenses.
Full Cycle in Boulder is joining up with Hapa Sushi to raise funds to help cover Kirk's medical expenses, including a new wheelchair. Kirk will make a special guest appearance, and there will be drawings for AMAZING cycling gear, bikes, gift certificates to local shops, and even a puppy (!) from the breeder of Bella, Kirk's yellow lab and service-dog-in-training. Food and drink will be a-plenty. All friends and cyclists are welcome, whether or not you know Kirk!"
